The last day of shows..
I will admit Shipmate Ruby got a little teary eyed during her last trapeze, nothing hurt and she felt bionic!
What a great team!
After the last show the divers tore down the diving boards and
I started my trapeze. I made a new big pulley block and we sensibly dropped my rigging. The whole team helped me strike my poles,roll up cables, chain blocks. It was fast and awesome. Bones got a cable graze when a cable snapped! Otherwise it was excellent and injury free. I drove the boards, compressors, hoses and costumes to his house.
I got some high quality beer and snacks ! we had a great party and played "beer pong"
I love this crew!
Tomorrow I load up and hit the trail

When we are doing shows on the Jolly Roger we have little bits we do, these bits are very fun for us ,fun to the point of hysterical giggling.When the Cap'n says "top" we all jump. he says "feet", we lift our legs and point to our feet.He says "lagoon" and accents "goooon", well we do that too.Me and Cap'n do this little duet.It ends with us doing an inverted shimmy and we laugh like crazed hyenas.
We dance badly, clash our swords and if need be ,heckle the audience in a good entertaining way. One show we hid from Cap'n and then scared him in an attack.
What a fun loving group.

Dear Diary,
I really should be packing..I will in a minute..
I just had to say if Marshall would only run away back to he circus we could quit this bullshit of me gallavanting all over the place .It would be so fun breaking down and dumping our septic together..Sigh..
I would even let him have two pillows.
I am thankful for work
I am thankful for sun in
I am thankful for coffee in bed, when I get it
I am thankful for being fit and apparently some kind of healthy
I am thankful for Marshall, Fresia ,Brooks and my kin..and amazing friends
I am thankful for neosporin
My feet are f-ing killing me.

remembering Jimmy James
right off the bat I am giving myself an f- for grammer and run on rambling..but the Jolly Roger is about to leave
Jimmy always treated me aces because I was with "Sluggo", he loved the boys in the band.What was not to love? The CBCB circus band was great!excellent musicians and all very easy on the eye(for the most part)
"In the day" when one would walk into the CBCB circus tent.. well I would get shivers !!listening to his voice and hearing that rich deep sound was amazing!
He called the single trapeze , the "solo trapeze"
I loved how he spoke and announced acts..he was singing but using the spoken word
He loved my butterfly wing entrance.
He always championed me , always on my side, I could do no wrong.He made me feel like a movie star.He always had time to sit and chat.
When I was pregnant I was allowed to sit down during "doors" when I felt faint.
He thought I was the most glamorous pregnant aerialist ever!
I will miss that guy..thank you Jimmy James for everything you made me feel spectacular about myself, on those days of self loathing

Very soon, I will no longer be Shipmate Ruby.. I will be the Enchanting Miss Rebecca !! how fun ! BIG eyelashes and ta da ta da ta da!!!
I know I will miss the Jolly Roger and my darling pirate pals and our most fabulous shenanigans .
The fresh air and sunshine has done me a world of goodness.
I remember the last time we docked the ship, I put on my sparkly costumes, walked into a circus tent, did my act and as I ta da ed I so wanted to argggha. It is very difficult to shake the pirate out of ones spirit.
12 more shows... I will make the most of it..
Tear down and drive like a woman possessed.

Dear Diary,
I just realized this is a 3.6 months long gig.
My brain is working today. This whole cast is into crossword puzzles and other mental exercises. I play along.
Today the captain was a puppet . I stood behind him and moved his arms. Hysterical, I even got " good job, in the funny department". Everyone knows I am not funny, in a comedic way.
We are using the phrase " I GOT IT !!! " to the point of being obnoxious. It is a very inside joke.
The guys love making Ames crack up during the second dive set, it is a site to behold.
Another happy fun day of piracy ! I practiced fabric before the four shows, we had a leg lift, chin up party.
