another day at the circus

Today I decided to go for a walk before tent raising , there was a pretty path and it called out to me . On the path I met my twin , she told me there was a cute town at the end of the path .
Off I went , I thought about running but I didn't want to get carried away .
In town I saw many adorable places , a yarn shop for Tavana , an ice cream parlour for Marshall and a yoga studio for me !!!!

I told a few about the 10.30 class . Carolyn was the only one who could make it so off we went .
It was almost 2 hours but the time flew by . I feel pretty elongated . I feel less toxic . The class was gentle yoga and it was perfect .

While we were being yogis the mighty welding department took the ride platform off the old office truck and moved it to the new office truck , it was a very cool event and I wished I had witnessed this marvel ( photo credit Jacob )

A day when everything gets to the lot unscathed is a great day  .

 The old shop truck  that has major surgery everyday but must get towed from town to town .

A sad bumper that got hung up on a raised sewer  manhole cover .

The vehicle that was found in Detroit with the keys in it and out of fuel because someone left the keys in the ignition on the lot and a stranger procured it . ( no pictures please ) .  Another week living the dream .

Today was a day off except for the people that welded and retrieved vehicles .
 For my little family today was a great day for a day off , we got an oil change , hair beautified , massage , mall meandering , other lovely activities and for good extra f-ing special measure Marshall let Spartacus loose and he ranged up some kitty cats and Fresia , myself and everyone who could ran or biked and went after him and I grabbed his self for another eventful jog . I must say I still got it !! I can still run like the wind .

Kelleys Island 2014

The thing I like about Kelleys Island is the boat ride .
The whole shows ferries over . It is so nice to be on an island , close to water , feeling the breeze and feeling the love .

The thing I like about rain - July 29 , 2014

The thing I like about rain .  My exercise is to find  things to like about life .

The thing I like about rain is ,  it shows you where your trailer leaks .

The thing I like about a video of performing is , you can see how you perform or talk ( so shocking yet enlightening )

The thing I like about trapeze is , ( no matter how I feel ) once I start working and listening to Marshall play I feel lucky and get happy .

Today we are in this fantastic little town with a great thrift store ,a pretty park , a lovely lake and a swimming pool !! Everyone talked about their great adventures . I spent an hour and a half on the phone with at & t ,went Wal-Marting with Tavana and company , talked to Fresia's teachers and snoozed for 1 hour (at least )
Some people were not so lucky to have choices , broken power steering lines ,brakes going goofy and a funky clutch .

Today as usual we had two shows .

The thing I like about the circus is the amazingness of everyone together getting down the road and doing two shows . On the outside looking in , it is a dream .

that went by fast -July 16 , 2014

Dear Diary ,
I am shocked and appalled that I didn't get any cute family photos while we were in Massachusetts , sad face .
I am happy I/we spent quality time with brothers/uncles , mother/grandmother , niece , sisters/aunts , cousins and lovely friends from my mighty home town state , big toothy smiley face and lots of hearts and party items !
Our last town in Massachusetts was Dalton . This is a wonderful spot with lots of festivities .
Lots of positive vibes and many kindness from some prominent CFA ers .

Marshall and my highlight was Shoat and Gigi , Dave , Robert , nephew and Tony Z !!
Mister Shoatface jumped in and repaired a leaky show hose that was causing a huge mud hole ( could he be any more with it and for it ?)
He upgraded our  trailer door . Our trailer is vintage . I wore a vintage costume in trapeze , Marshall plays a vintage cornet and wears vintage band duds . Are we vintage as well ?

After Dalton we drove across the granite state to Pennsylvania , only 405 miles and a day off .
Casualties of the show were minor , 3 flat tires , 1 motor home leaky transmission hose  and 1 person ran out of fuel .
I made the journey unscathed except for extreme sweatiness , I stopped 4 times ( beverages , fuel and whatnot ) and have decided the Angola service area on the ny thruway  is very nice .

When we arrived in North East , Pa we saw many vineyards !! Marshall and I did a quick visit to town and I did a wine tasting ! I love supporting the locals !

As of today we have done 306 shows , 115 towns ( set ups and tear downs ) and 146 days of shows . We are on week 24 , 14 or 15 weeks left

Fenway !!! packed , magical , perfect and the sox lost . The 4th inning was hopeful and exciting .

7-4 Orioles were victorious

 

 

Mike the drummer made Marshall a small platform , such a grand kindness .

Rowe turns 13 , she worked in the mixed act and Carolyn surprised her with an ice cream cake in the massive sized mosquito battle zone after the dog walking , the dog getting sprayed by a skunk  and  all the fun that goes with the circus .
